Host
HOSTPicks the activity, the time and who to invite, and leads the day itself.
TREKX LLC · WYOMING, USA · EST. 2026
TREKX is a small startup building TBTI, a service for group outings in Taiwan. Hosts pick the activity and invite the people. TBTI takes over the repetitive group admin: the sign-up list, deciding when a group is confirmed, and booking with the venue.
01 / PROBLEM
Every outing needs someone to make the form, collect money, chase payments, book the venue, fill dropouts and handle refunds. Nobody wants that job, so a lot of plans never get past "+1" in the group chat.
02 / ROLES
An event belongs to the host who starts it. TBTI only takes on the group admin hosts would rather not keep doing, and every role is written down before the group opens.
Picks the activity, the time and who to invite, and leads the day itself.
Sees who is hosting, how costs are split and when the group counts as confirmed, then decides whether to join.
Confirms it can take the group, provides the space or activity, and runs on-site service.
Keeps the sign-up list, confirms the group, confirms the booking with the venue, and publishes the fee, cancellation and attendance rules before anyone joins.
Venue fees and the TBTI service fee are always listed separately on each event page, never as a single total.
03 / PROGRESS
TREKX LLC was formed in Wyoming, USA.
We handled sign-ups, payments and venue booking by hand for two board-game meetups for university freshmen in Tainan and New Taipei. 24 people showed up across the two events. These were manual pilots to check that the process works. They were not an automated service on the platform.
We're building the tools that let hosts start a group on TBTI. They are not launched yet. We'll announce the launch on TBTI's Threads account.
The TBTI travel personality quiz (just for fun) has been completed about 14,000 times. That's reach from an earlier product, not a count of people using the host tools.
